What is Europe on Track?
Europe on Track is a project of AEGEE, run by young volunteers who aim to raise awareness, to create a space for discussion and to capture the opinions of youth in Europe on important social issues.
Thanks to Eurail, the European Youth Foundation, from the Council of Europe, and the European Union; our 6 ambassadors will travel in teams by train across over 20 cities in one month to deliver workshops, interview young people and organize events in cooperation with over 200 volunteers from all over Europe.
The project is carried out entirely by passionate volunteers who pursue a better Europe together
Europe on Track happens in all Europe. Our ambassadors travel for 1 month to more than 15 countries all over Europe.
Europe on Track is a non-profit project. We exist thanks to the help of our sponsors and partners
Our ambassadors travel by train. This is possible thanks to Interrail
The aim of the project is to raise awareness, provoke discussion and find out what young people think about a topic
What is the focus of Europe on Track 11
This year, the team of the project will raise awareness among young people about intersectional identities and their role in shaping political representation and civic engagement. The project will emphasise how overlapping forms of discrimination, such as those based on race, gender, disability, and socioeconomic status, affect young people and how they can take action to create safe spaces for the victims of these discriminations.
Join us for Europe on Track 11 – Intersectional identities and their role in shaping political representation and civic engagement.
Charlemagne Youth Prize
The Charlemagne Prize is a prestigious European award presented annually in Aachen, Germany, since 1950. It aims to honor individuals or institutions that have made significant contributions to European unity and integration. Named after the medieval Frankish king who united much of Western Europe, the prize symbolizes the ideals of peace, understanding, and cooperation among European nations.
Our project, Europe on Track, is a prime example of the values the Charlemagne Prize celebrates. Since its inception, Europe on Track has been dedicated to fostering cross-cultural dialogue, promoting European values, and empowering young people to actively engage in shaping the future of Europe. Notably, the first edition of our project was awarded the Charlemagne Prize in 2013, recognizing its commitment to youth participation and European unity. Through our ongoing efforts, we continue to exemplify the spirit of the Charlemagne Prize by inspiring youth across Europe to embrace their role as European citizens and contribute to a more cohesive and prosperous continent.
We are deeply honored to have been awarded Austrian national round of the Charlemagne Prize for Europe on Track 10. This recognition reaffirms our dedication to promoting European values and empowering young people to become active participants in shaping Europe’s future. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Charlemagne Prize committee for this honor and remain committed to advancing the ideals of European unity and integration through our work.
